Our first hint was the ivy league education. I think he and his wife got a full ride ....Free College....you only get that if you show lots of promise. There is really no other country that would have such opportunity. Then, he started raising money on the Internet, lots of money. Really his method is commendable because it was all about the little people and there little dollars. This Obama is very smart. He also has an altruistic reason for this method of fundraising which I've yet to hear a good argument against. Is he real when he says that he wants to cut out the special interest groups and change the way Washington operates? Time will tell.
This has been a very long primary and candidate selection process. Obama faced a presumptive candidate that all but had this candidacy wrapped up. I don't think his victory was as much about his own smarts but a matter of his opponents overconfidence. Maybe she shouldn't have listened to Bill or friends of Bill. The smatest man in politics really was not smart in all of this.
Then his critics were having a field day harping on his lack of experience in International Relations. So, no problem, go on a unprecedented trip to the really important locations in the World and become very presidential. His critics are still criticizing but ...they are just nipping at the heels of a fast moving , high flying, presumptive president. No doubt.
Because of General Petraeus and our current President having the brains and guts to double down on the War in Iraq that war is no longer the main issue in our election. As the man said, "Its the Economy Stupid" ! So for his next trick, Soon to Be is meeting with economic geniuses that even this Reagan Loving , McCain contributing Republican can respect. Super smart. What can we say , if he comes out of these meetings with some really good ideas ( and he will ) then its all but over.
I don't expect that there will be any constitutional solutions from the Supremes at the end of this election. This won't be close enough for anyone to complain.
